On Impact, we saw a brief interaction between Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles in the locker room prior to a commercial break. I know it was part of the show but it felt real. Especially since AJ is from what I hear, a very religious person who doesn't partake in alcohol or drugs. So my questions is, was it really AJ speaking his mind even though he was following a script?

Seemed like all truth from an outsiders view to me

Very little happens that isn't planned. If it was a live segment, in the ring I could meet you half way and say maybe. Those backstage segments are outright produced. Likely by Bischoff or Harvey ,maybe Kevin or david sahidi. It was very well done and although not live, certainly showed that AJ sure can bring the emotion.

In a way I think that's how AJ feels but I don't think he's that pissed now but in another way I feel like this is a storyline where Jeff tries to forgive TNA originals and they say some tough words to him kinda a lil punishment.

I dunno, I just watched the segment and it looked legit, and it's true people do talk crap about TNA because of Hardy's antics (and other things too) but in all AJ spoke the truth

New respect for Styles from this promo. If only he could capture what he did tonight earlier in his career we wouldn't have this Hardy problem.

Both devons & AJs segments were awesome and spoke the truth.

Yeah, I'm starting to think creative set this up and told Devon and Styles to just "be real". The way each man spoke was their real identity, not some made up BS.

I think that they are having Hardy go around and letting everyone shoot on him to keep harmony in the locker room, kinda like a series of mini-interventions, this way everything is out so it can be dealt with.

AJ has busted his ass for years for TNA, he has every right to be pissed, and I think that was all him.
Devon has always struck me as more the mentor/teacher type of personality, which makes sense considering the 3D school, and he is a father of 2 boys, his talk with Jeff sounded like that, like 1/2 father figure and 1/2 friend so I think that was all him too

Either way, I hope that Jeff is taking some of this shit to heart, he is too good to throw his life away like he was

That segment > than the segment where AJ spoke in the ring while praising Roode. Maybe he is nervous in front of the people.

Now I see this topic is on the front page. The title is just like mine, AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy. Coincidence?

It has to be easier when you have actual emotion placed into what you are saying rather than having to "act out" an emotions.

Maybe its true, AJ might be very protective of TNA he was there from the start.

Amen to that

Especially since his chances have run out.

Especially since his chances have run out.

At this point he can either go out like HBK or he can go out like Jake The Snake Roberts
I don't think there is a middle option.

The AJ promo I think was creative/producers telling him to speak from his heart and mind.....
As for the Devon/Hardy promo it where they go back with classic matches.....

But both was good promos..... and showed AJs skills behind the mic... and in front of the camera...

AJ and Jeff would be a great match for BFG. Long story short Jeff looking for a 2nd chance that he's changed. AJ tells him to prove it in the ring.
