I'm a HUGE Samoa Joe fan, and don't care how a wrestler looks just how they perform, but Joe has gained allot of weight in the last year and it seems like it's starting to come across in his work, am I alone on this?

Not alone, I agree.

I never thought Samoa Joe was a great in ring performer. Imo, he is a good in ring performer, not great. Samoa Joe does not have a wide arsenal of moves in his bag. He has a few submissions, punches, kicks, muscle buster, and his most impressive move is the jump through the ropes. His offense usually looks exactly the same from match to match. His demeanor is somewhat bland and his screen presence is lacking when seen on television. Usually, guys who are out of shape are big men such as Umaga, Bam Bam, Bundy, ect but Samoa Joe is only "big" when he fights X-Division wrestlers. I am not hating on Samoa Joe or his fan base, these are just my opinions.

P.S. Best "big" man wrestler is Bam Bam. He was a great in ring talent!

Honestly TNA doesnt give a fuck about Joe anymore so why should he?

If he wants to more obese than usual thats his deal.

I have to say I have NOT noticed a difference. I just really hope that TNA ends this "losing streak" bs sooner rather than later cause I think it's getting stale and really pissing me off. And not the "mark" pissed off, like the "wow this is BS" pissed off

Definitely. Samoa Joe is at the bottom of the challengers list for the Heavyweight Championship. He is being stepped over by people who are less talented than he is. Samoa Joe is beyond a majority of the people who are higher on that list. I used to look at that guy as a monster alongside Abyss. Then they gave the two of them dumb ass songs, and mellowed them both out.

Won't disagree, BUT I will say that Abyss' James Mitchell monster gimmick was getting old and I think THIS Abyss that we have now is a lot better. This Art of War monster is good stuff.

As for Joe? I think he needs a SERIOUS revamping, and not that crap ass Nation of Violence stuff......Actually I can't think of ANYTHING for Joe....which is weird cause I can normally think of stuff....Maybe a nice 5 or 6 month break away from TNA would be good for him.

I think a break would do him some good as well. Part of me actually wants to see Samoa Joe go over to the WWE an get some kind of treatment like what Kharma ended up getting upon her arrival. Samoa Joe is clearly not going anywhere in TNA an he deserves far better than being some stepping stone. CM Punk would protect Samoa Joe if he jumped as well too.

I actually remember it being mentioned that as soon as his contract with TNA was up he would be heading over there. I think Stone Cold said it. Or at least they were wanting him over there. This might be his way of waiting for the contract to expire.

He would be BURIED in the WWE. Vince wants his wrestlers to look steroided out, look no further then how he treated Vader, Vader is the best working big man in the biz and the WWE turned him into a lower mid carder because Vince didn't like his weight.

Kharma was a big woman. They pushed her pretty heavily didn't they? Vince Mcmahon was very high on Kharma too. Then she went an got herself knocked up. I doubt Samoa Joe would go an get himself knocked up, so he should be fine.

if he was to join WWE he would have to get rid of the extra wieght that he has gained over the past year, I can remember when his contract expired in TNA and he said he wasnt going to sign again, but after a few week he did, was he waiting for a better offer that never happened??

no I have see it as well, he is still awsome but he is starting slow up a step. Like you I don't care about his looks but maybe some hardcore cardio is in order. Not to loose weight but to gain endurance

I would love to see joe show up in wwe and be the man, the problem is the wwe could have signed about 8 months AGO he tried to go there and they weren't interested. Maybe know that wwe is changing course a little bit maybe they change there minds

I cannot properly tell if he has put on weight since last year, but I hope he doesn't, for health issues. I want a healthy, motherf***ing, ass-kicking Samoan Submission Machine on the rampage again!

Joe wouldn't make it a week in WWE. Look at what they did to Husky Harris. They took a solid in-ring performer who can burn up the mic and slapped a shitty name on him, then sent him down to FCW to lose some weight. If you think Joe is having a hard time getting pushed because of his weight in TNA, then you don't even want to think about him in WWE.

But going back to the main point of this thread, Joe is still the same ol' Joe. Watch his match with Kazarian at Destination X not 1 month ago. He's still got it. My only problem with his style is that he isn't as creative as he used to be. I haven't seen him do something jaw-dropping in years, he continues to just perform the same moves over-and-over again, and I can't even remember the last time he used some of his old moves like the Island Driver or the Yokozuka Cutter.

First of all, I don't know where did you read that Husky Harris was sent to FCW to lose weight. Everybody was high on the guy according to reports. He hasn't lost a pound and he will probably will be called up soon as he's being main eventing lately.

But I don't think WWE is interested at all in Joe. He let his contract with TNA expire in hopes that WWE will call him, but nothing happen and he had to resign with Dixie. Austin said on twitter that he's one of the best talents on TNA, but I don't think that's reason enough to expect a call from Johnny Ace.

Joe's boat in WWE has sailed, he's getting older and bigger by the day. Hopefully TNA will give him a good run soon

Yes he has gained a lot of weight. It's obvious
I have never been fond of Joe, he just never cut it for me. To be fair he was a great superstar!
I think it's Joe has given up. He's not the impressive superstar he use to be. I remember Joe's undefeated streak. That was impressive! He is a great submission specialist, suplex specialist hence the name "Samoan Submission Machine" "Samoan Suplex Machine" I think what happened is he wants to be a top dog, and they wouldn't let him so he don't care anymore. He's embarrassed by all the accomplishments he's done in Impact Wrestling, and they won't let him be a top dog of the company. It's sad to think but my honest opinion why they won't let him be one of the "faces" on Impact Wrestling is because of his weight. Before he leaves the company, I think they should let him hold the title more. He has only held it once. That's sad for all the work he has put into TNA.

Joe is insane, in the ring he is one of the best in the ring. Can't compare him to Umaga, Bam Bam, Bundy these guys bro. For the 30 years I have been watching wrestling, he is one of the best I have ever seen. As a technical they are just holding him back for some reason
