But Vickie Guerrero has finally got to be named WWE Magazine's "Jerk of the Month". In the last several months, Vickie was overshadowed by the likes of Cody Rhodes, Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, CM Punk, Ted DiBiase, Maryse, Jack Swagger, Chris Jericho, Drew McIntyre, Michael Cole, and Dolph Ziggler among others. IMO, Vickie deserved it.

Other highlights include Vickie Guerrero as Jerk of the Month (finally), Ted DiBiase's eyes, Maryse's ring gear, Evan Bourne answers your tweets, Superstar astrology, Eve's dating advice, Zack Ryder's workout, interviews with Sin Cara and Chris Masters, and much more!

Why not? He's a huge part of the biggest angle WWE has going on right now...CM Punk was on last time wasn't he? Plus HHH is a face...they shouldn't put a heel on the magazine...that isn't good business. Kids look for people they like...they see Cena's face or someone they cheer for, and they want to buy the magazine. Nash, Truth, and Miz are all heels...plus Nash isn't that familiar of a face to the kids anymore...I mean the dude just came back.

Sheamus or Orton are candidates, but I'm sure Orton was on recently as well.

HHH was a good choice...HHH or Punk if he wasn't on recently. Triple H is one of the top names right now in this huge angle, and it was a good choice to stick him up there.

Definitely. WWE heels such as R-Truth, Miz, Del Rio, Rhodes, and co. are more likely to be named "Jerks of the Month" than cover boys. The November 2011 issue features Rhodes wearing a paper bag over his head while his JOTM mugshot is taken, LOL!

I notice that it seems that WWE Magazine tends to name male wrestlers (mainly main event heels and upper mid-carders such as The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, R-Truth, Christian, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, etc.) as Jerk of the Month.

Rarely do Divas or tag teams get selected, but on occasion Divas such as Beth Phoenix, Vickie Guerrero, or Maryse; tag teams such as LayCool, the Bella Twins, or Otunga & McGillicutty; or even announcers such as Michael Cole and Ricardo Rodriguez have been JOTM at one point or another.

My question is why do men are more likely to be named Jerks of the Month than their female counterparts? Thanks!

Not for sexist reasons or anything. Its likely due to the fact that the WWE puts a lot more effort into storylines for the men than the Divas. Thats why the men get a bigger response from the crowd, and the Divas aren't talked about as much.

Tool is totally correct here
there are a much higher percentage of male vs female talent, therefore the magazine JOTM will reflect this, since they can show every heel diva on the current roster in 3-4 months

Also as far as tag teams go I think that is a matter of percentage as well, there are not nearly as many teams as there have been, and most of those are face teams, so they don't count

Again about whether Rock is black? *sigh* But if it is the 'burning black man' thing that's an issue, then well, that's just sad. If that's where your (meaning anybody's) mind goes when you see it, then maybe the problem lays in the mind of the viewer.

I seem to recall commentators used to mention quite frequently that The Rock & Rikishi were cousins. But only during Rikishi matches. ;)

It's not whether he's black. More on the fact that black people have a tendency to over-react to anything that deal with them. So, I began to think about how one of those blacks would see it. It made my head hurt. :[

eh yeah, you got owners/managers of stores that do stupid things. I remember wanting to rent 'The Golden Compass' at a local rental store- yet they had a sign at checkout saying they would not carry it because of their religous beliefs. Never rented at the place again- and they have since closed down. Also went to by a Marylin Manson cd at Soundshop quite a long time ago. When I could not find it I asked. I was told the manager did not like him or what he stood for and would not carry any of his stuff. What was funny is I could buy any Slayer CD there, Lamb of God CD, EyeHateGod CD, and a CD by a group called Anal Cunt.

I also worked in a restuarant where one of the managers did not like the color red- so he told me I had to put browning color in the spaghetti sauce. I refused and went to another manager who over rode the other manager. Some managers are dumbasses/idiots.

was Hogan/Warrior always on the cover of a magazine during The Golden Age?

if so then I guess Cena will be on every cover for the PG era.

Now, guys like Cena, Orton, Undertaker, CM Punk, Triple H, The Miz, Angle, Styles, etc. would frequently appear on the cover of Pro Wrestling Illustrated.

Yep. It seems that WWE Magazine tends to feature either John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, or The Rock on the cover considering that they're the biggest names in the WWE. There is however a possibility that February's Jerk of the Month might go to a Diva and if there's a Diva who's worthy of being named that dubious honor, I like Beth Phoenix. WWE Magazine rarely names Divas JOTM but the Glamazon IMO is an exception. She has mocked other Divas (namely Kelly Kelly) as Barbie Dolls and used Natalya to help her get the victory at the Hell In A Cell PPV. What do you think?

Finally the thread picked up. The #1 heel at the moment IMO is Wade Barrett. He gets massive heat every time he talks. The WWE were smart when they put him in a feud with Orton, since hes the most beloved superstar in the company. Plus Barrett having great mic skills helps quite a bit too :)

and CM Punk
at least when the big story included him.
I think they go like this

Who has the biggest story this month. If they can't decide then step 2.

who is moving the most merchandise. This is either Cena or Punk, depending on how close to a great "Pipe bomb" we are at the present time, for example, in the month after Punk's infamous worked shoot, his merch sales beat Cena, the first time anyone had sold more product than Cena in years. he was also (if memory serves) on the cover either that month or the one right after.

seconded, the original post gave very little to discuss. Obviously we are all not surprised that orton is on the cover but I think the original poster like many of us are long term fans so who would they put on the cover who was 1)prevalent at the time of publication and 2) would surprise fans like us who watch on a weekly/biweekly basis.

The WWE magazine does not bring a good experience to the fan currently. Ten years ago, the magazine was filled with facts and lots fun which gave someone joy of reading it. Currently, the magazine is filled with social networking in every single page. It gives a bad experience to the reader.

As for March's Jerk of the Month, I hope that the Big Show gets it but knowing WWE Magazine, they'll probably go with Antonio Cesaro. Like CM Punk, the Big Show is one of those Superstars who is very hard to book a WWE Magazine photoshoot since he is one of the WWE's top guys.
