Will we see another awesome performance by BJ Penn? Here is the fight card so what are your thoughts?

Main card
Welterweight bout: B.J. Penn vs. Jon Fitch
Middleweight bout: Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera
Lightweight bout: George Sotiropoulos vs. Dennis Siver
Welterweight bout: Carlos Condit vs. Chris Lytle
Middleweight bout: Chris Camozzi vs. Kyle Noke

Side note: I'd really like to see Penn fight Frankie Edgar again! Edgar is a really impressive fighter and can obviously handle punishment!

Also looks like some of you other UFC fans have some homegrown talent on this card!

Kashdinero has Bisping and Robstar has Sotiropoulos!

Lol, I also have Noke!

BJ was awesome in his last fight but lacked passion against Edgar, I think he was mentally defeated even before their second fight. Penn has moved up to welterweight anyway, I think he wants another crack at GSP. Good luck there. I can't wait for Edgar/Maynard 3 though.

George will have about fifteen thousand crazy Aussies screaming for him, and rightfully so, the guys a little beast! Bispings been on a bit of a roll as of late, could Rivera be the one to derail him, or will he move one step closer to a title shot by taking Jorge apart with his precision punches. I for one hopes it's latter, for obvious reasons ;)
It'll be interesting to see BJ back in the welterweight division after his destruction of Hughes. Jon Fitch is gonna be BJ's Bitch in Robs homeland and I can't wait to witness it!
After Condit's devastating KO of Hardy I'm interested to see of he can get a win, as he must be close to contending for the title. Condit Vs Jake Sheilds number one contenders match?

Good points and I wasn't aware of this event being in Australia! Now Robstar can watch at a normal time while we watch it a day earlier, if that makes sense.

I like watching the fights on a weekend afternoon! Suits me fine. Here it will be at night but there's no way I'm missing it! I have some friends who are going - jealous as hell! Just checked and it's on in the arvo, so you guys will get it at the normal times you do.

I did but I feel Penn realized he needed to pick it up and so far so good. We will see in the next fight.

After not being taken off of his feet at 155 in ages, it was shocking to see the ease at which Edgar dismantled him. I can't see Penn being in too much of a hurry to face him again, but this is MMA and pride is a powerful motivator! I'd like to see him stay in the welterweight div for a while and see how he fares there. Fitch should be a good test for him, and it'll be good way to see if he's up for another showdown with Georges!
Personally I think it would be a different story this time around, without the vassaline helping him slide through Penns defences, Georges could find himself in trouble!

This is what intrigued me with the first UFC's. The fact that no one knew of Brazilizn Jui Jitsu and Royce Gracie dominated everyone!

Gracie pretty much owned the UFC during the first five or so events. Even when he looked like he was in big trouble, like against Kimo at UFC 3, he still found a way to win..... He was a bit fucked aftr that fight though, and couldn't continue in the tournament.

Ross didn't look to hot in his last fight, but I'm confident he'll choose his shots a bit more carefully and out box Fisher.

I know this is gonna sound silly, but I actually get nervous for Bisping every time he fights since the Hendo Catastophe! He's improved greatly since then but, I still don't see him as a championship contender. Time will tell eh?

I'm only going for Te-Huna because he is aussie or kiwi, not sure which. Tbh, the Ring/Fukada fight was a stab in the dark for me. I'm not convinced about Noke either, I hope he's bought his game up but he's an Aussie so I got his back

Fukuda shoulda won but the judges Fukuda'd it up! Again! Te Huna started strong but seemed to give up pretty easily. Pearson/Fisher was ok but it seemed like Ross was being to wary to engage somewhat.
My boy Noke is more impressive each time I see him. How was Ebersole? Guy really stepped up, he was entertaining to watch.
Dissapointing to see Sitiroplolous lose but am happy he went the distance with a guy known for finishing his opponents.

Dissapointing controversy with Bisping. I am confident he would have won anyway but the knee didn't help. I'm a fan of Bisping but sometimes he makes it hard to like him! Still, I think the real issue is fighters who deny talking smack after they clearly have.

BJ looked broken afterwards and he knew he was lucky to get away with a draw.

Did anyone catch the Mark Hunt/Chris Tuchsherer fight? Great KO and great cut too. He was like "somethings hanging in my eye" and the ref says "yeah that's your eyelid" tough dude, but I'm sure it's just Big John McCarthy with a bleach job! ;)

Hunt Vs Tuchsherer was a throwback to the old days! That shit was brutal, but it's good when it stopped when it did as I couldnt imagine the second round being as good as the first. Bispings comment about fighters who are in no condition to go three rounds would definitely apply to those two! Saying that, it was one of the best fights of the night for me.

I have a feeling Dana will be having a little chat to Bisping. Won't be surprised if he gets fined for spitting at Rivera's cornermen. He's gotta get a reign on his temper if he ever wants that title shot. Methinks he has shot himself in the foot in that regard, at least for now. I would have preferred a DQ to be honest and then a rematch. It's not the first time Bisping has given the low knee, not saying he does it intentionally, you know I'm a fan, but I think his temper makes him see red, thus not concentrating completely.
What do you reckon?

I would have completley agreed if not for the part about shooting himself in the foot regarding his chances of a title shot. It was definitely close enough to consider action, but I think he might get away with it.

Nope, never had a shot in, like, five years! To be fair he did change weight-classes, that and Anderson Silva's the champ. I don't see Bisping being in Silva's league and, as I like him, I'm in no rush to see him get his arse handed to him ;)

There was also the night he got Hendo'd back to the beginning of his career. That never helped. Obviously.

It may be possible that Bisping may be in some issues at the moment with that attitude and that illegal knee but he did dominate. To me, that shit was good to watch! xD

The only issue I had with Bisping is after the fight he went up to him and said "go home loser" very classless act. When the fight is over you shake hands/hug it out and move on. You let your fighting in the octagon be the words. There is a right way and wrong way to win.

Joe Namath said it best -- "You learn how to be a gracious winner and an outstanding loser."
