Just wanted to know what you guys might think will happen to TNA through the years.

If TNA were to close its doors:

- When would it happen?
- What would have likely brought such an eventuality about?
- What would happen to its roster?
- Who, if anyone, would be able to replace it as #2, and would they reach TNA's comparative heights?

Many have been saying TNA will die for the past years but they have sticked around. I dont beleive they will be going anywhere for years if they do.

I know it won't anytime soon. I just want to know what others think might happen if it were to shut down. Imaginations my friend. Just saying.

Allright i shall give it ago. Some of the roster may go to the WWE others will end up on the indy scene. The older people like Ric, Hogan and Mick might just be done with wresting but might try another run with the WWE. Angle, Nash and some others will give the WWE another run depending on their age and health etc.

ROH may step up to be the number 2 company but i aint to sure as i havent seen ROH besdies a few matches. The only thing that will bring death to TNA will be money if they go bankrupt otherwise i dont see anything else bringing them down, unless their finicial backing goes away thats the only thing i see shuting TNA down but then again they might find another finicial backer.

its more like he is saying how would wrestling be affected if TNA died not saying he hopes it to, its like saying if Vince Died what would happen to the WWE? no one wants him to die just doing what you think would happen if this did happen

Honestly if TNA lost there tv Deal and couldnt get a new one then yeah they would die. if WCW could die what makes you think TNA cant? WWE could die or go out of bussiness, i think its still too profitable someone could buy it and run itin to the ground most likly...... But hell if WWE production took off and he was making alot of money he might kill off WWE........ like i said TNA dying wouldnt be anything shocking

haha he just dug in to you for being a TNA hater but your name is TNA mark, you have Sting and the M.E.M pictures on your post haha.... But honestly if it did die, Expect Sting to get some kinda 1 match deal or a legend deal for the Hall of Fame.

Kurt Angle will probably get a WWE light shechedule contract sort of like Michaels had and Taker has.

I think Foley in years down the line would get in the HOF.

Flair burnt his bridges everywhere so he be Who knows where.

you see the Rise of Joe, AJ Styles, Desmond Wolf, Doug Williams and MCMG's (as singles wrestlers after they feud with Kings of Wrestling and Benjamin and Haas).

Joe would be the Samoa Joe of old and get the fire he had in 05 and have a string of awesome matches and be picked up by WWE along with Wolf.

AJ would refuse a contract with WWE.

A few junky promotions like Wrestling Socity X will come along and fail..... then a real number 2 wrestling promotion will come along

Kenedy wil go to japan along with the hardys and then Work for ROH (jeff only doing a few shows).... Hardys wont go back to WWE and Kenedy will quit wrestling to get in to acting and fail at that.... besides doing some B movies

WWE didnt show interest in JOE when his contract was expired a few week ago, i doubt WWE would sign Joe if TNA dies. I think Joe would go back to ROH or go to Japan, i dont see him in WWE

yeah but the Joe of late hasnt been somone that anyone would wanna sign, if he is built back up then maybe the WWE will have interest in him again..... im talking about the badass, amazing, hard hitting j/oe that was the best performer in the states at one time..... did WWE and TNA both offer Joe and Punk contracts? i heard that Joe turned down WWE and went to TNA... so they had interest at one point

ur just talking as a fan...do u see tna financial backup..do u see how tna started...honestly tna could go back to internet view and they will still b around...wcw died cuz aol didnt want nothing to do with wrestling...so they just sold it....plus they didnt wanna invest in it

Like i said TNA can go out of bussiness, if Carter decieds to get reid of the brand or merge with someone that doesnt like it or Dixie decieds she wants nothing to do with it..... its not impossible..... WWF was the hottest thing ever and they were very close to shutting there doors for good..... WCW got 3 times the ratings TNA got and they still closed..... im not speaking as a fan im speaking logical, your speaking as a fan..... If TNA lost there TV deal and had no other tv Deal than they would be gone or they would be a much smaller promotion and all the main roster would leave....... Honestly i dont think TNA will shut down soon but im damn sure not gonna say they will never close, i wouldnt be suprised if they shut down in 2 years....... But TNA is spending enough money to lose alot of money to warrent a big fincial promblem and shut it down..... lets hope it stays that way cause i think everyone wants to be able to watch a alternative When WWE has bad times like in 05.

Its possibile that any company could shut down. As for the Joe situation i have never seen him as the nahrd hitting joe etc but i didnt watch TNA untill a few years ago or even know about ROH until about a year ago. I dont think joe would suit well in the WWE but it wont hurt to try, but WWE wouldnt push him to World Heavyweight spot i dont beleive. Thats just my opinion.

If TNA did eventually fail then you will find an opportunist to create another wrestling company to try and take the number 2 position.

TNA filled the void when WCW was sold to the WWE due to aol having no interest in the product when it merged with timewarner and ousted Ted Turner.

But also remember TNA did not have a regular tv deal and solely relied on the net to at least attract an audience Which it did with weekly ppv's.

Also TNA made full use of the internet era when youtube eventually came on the scene and gave TNA another portal to showcase it's company and their talent Which attracted more people to watch TNA for it's different style to the WWE.

But what made TNA grow is the fact a lot of former WWE talent who were disaffected with the WWE took the bull by the horns and went to TNA and actually helped them attract a bigger audience Which led them to a tv deal Which now spike will give them a lot more airtime. And with the fact in the uk up until 2007 TNA was free to air and even the ppv's were free so anyone who did not want to pay for a premium channel to watch WWE could watch TNA and see some of the well known established guys and the fresh new talent wrestle and gain a big following. Which it has right now despite at this moment it has not got a current channel with sky tv when it bought out bravo.

TNA will still be going in 2014. Regardless of how "bad" their situation is right now, and the 2012 bullshit phenomenon(sorry I just had to throw it out there).

This is what I believe will happen, if TNA does die:
* Mick Foley should get into the WWE HOF, for being the "Hardcore Legend", and I don't think he even has beef with WWE, since WWE even plugged his "Countdown to Lockdown" book a while back, WHEN HE WAS STILL IN TNA.

* Kurt Angle will hopefully join the WWE again, and work a schedule like Takers, so that he can keep up the great matches.

* MCMG will go the indys, or Japan.

* Ric Flair and Hogan will attempt to join WWE again, to make more money, and to get those big pops and attention that they crave so much. But WWE should have sense and keep them away, for they betrayed them, and mocked their sendoffs, and what they have done in WWE.

* The Dudleys will retire from professional wrestling, and will most likely continue their wrestling training school.

* Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, and Angelina Love will not get work in WWE, due to their past, and current image/style that WWE would not like in these times. They will either work at a strip club, become pornstars, star in Bret Michale's newest Rock of Love, or attempt to get their own reality show on MTV.

* AJ Styles will go back to the indys.

* Brian Kendrick might be in jail.

* Matt Hardy will try to relive the glory days, and promote himself and his brother, and the Omega boys, and will bitch about how WWE dropped the ball on him.

* Jeff Hardy will be a good father, and I pray he will be around at home to take care of his girl, and his child.

* Orlando Jordan will find a long term partner, and maybe get married.

* Samoa Joe will go back to the indys.

* Kevin Nash will have retired from professional wrestling, and will hopefully have been inducted by WWE by then.

* My favorite one: Vince Russo will have retired from writing wrestling storylines.

There's a WWE dying thread so TNA marks stop thinking this is taking shots at TNA. It's basically an "apocalyptic" scenario to generate some comments. It's not wishing death on TNA so learn to read.

- When would it happen?
More than likely within the next decade.

- What would have likely brought such an eventuality about?
Poor storylines, not going on the road much, high spending on wages of wasted talents that they cannot afford, little movement in side ventures (Video games, merchandise).

- What would happen to its roster?
The odd few would go to WWE- Beer Money, Joe, Angle, Sting, Nash, Hogan, Flair, Foley, AJ would definitely end up in wwe (most in "legends" deals. Flair would be safe but hogan will get pot shots to make his legacy look weaker as punishment for going to TNA to begin with), most of the more athletic talent would head to ROH and some Japan/Mexico. The rest would probably have to find new jobs because there aren't THAT many spots out there with TNA gone.

- Who, if anyone, would be able to replace it as #2, and would they reach TNA's comparative heights?
Nope. The next best is ROH which is 0 "entertainment" and 100% wrestling. This is something TNA can't quite balance atm. Not enough people want to watch JUST technical wrestling! Most fans are interested in Promos and storytelling. Why do you think the Rock and Austin were so popular?

If TNA died then the WWE would remain the god awful mess it is today and would likely never get better. When all the other choices of wrestling programming are gone, who are the fans going to jump ship to?

But to answer your questions:

- No time soon
- WWE dropping the PG rating and returning back to its old edgier self, bad business decisions, selling out to WWE, or absolutely horrible booking
- Some would probably go to the independant circut, make small organizations bigger, and others will go to the WWE where they will be underused.
- I don't really watch much else, but ROH and Dragon Gate USA seems highly popular enough to climb the ranks

WWE and TNA will cease to exist in 2012 according to the Mayans!

Just messing with the EWN but yes, I do see TNA lingering around past the date initially mentioned!

ever notice how alot of tna fans get mad and take things so seriosly(juggalos or hillbillies)anyway it would suck but the way they are going now it would'nt bother me as bad as it would if this was 2002-2008 that was there best years to date I thought.

IF(TNA fanboys! Learn this two letter word!) TNA dies, ROH would be the acceptable replacement as an alternative. But ROH has been an alternative to TNA.
