Having watched the John Cena vs CM Punk main event I have to think the commentary for being completely turned off. Firstly Cole announcing Cena as a submission specialist. Then calling a well executed Koji Clutch the Anaconda Vice and finally at the end of the match not announcing any sort of decision. I'm not sure how the in ring performers are meant to get themselves over without a decent announce team. Unfortunately they cant have CM Punk call his own matches, which is a shame cause he could do a better job than the current team

I agree man but JR's don't grow on trees... We were spoiled to have a legend like JR for a long time and now a serviceable guy like Cole seems terrible.

Both calls by Cole were shockers. I could not believe that he called Cena a submission specialist, and when he called Punk's submission an anaconda vice when it clearly wasn't, I was tempted to stop watching (even though it was towards the end lol). I hope Punk had a go at Cole for doing that!!

I think Cole is trying to play a character as opposed to just calling matches with objectivity and intelligence.

WWE needs to re-evaluate their announce team. That is Botchamania material for sure. The solution would be Joey Styles. He knows his shit, but don't know if Vince would be happy with that. Styles and Mathews would be a good duo, even Stryker.

Yeah, I mean I tolerate Cena and can thoroughly understand why he is the face of the company, but I almost spit coffee at the screen when Cole reffered to him as a "submission specialist". Come on now...

I know everyone hates Cole(he is a heel) but I find he announces better than King, seriously King doesn't know most of the moves the superstars use today, he should be replaced by JR( the greatest announcer of all time), I'm jus sayin...

JR was the best of all time, but JR wasnt a move specialist, he didnt know the name of many newer holds and manuvers...... Guys like Striker and Taz know these holds cause they wrestled before..... But the Thing is the WWE doesnt want them to call moves, just key moves and finishers. they want a more entertainment style and story driven style of match calling.... JR was the best of both worlds amazing... and also a good mix of that would be Monson and Heenan, incredible there annoucing overshadowed the matches sometimes, i watch old Prime time wrestlings just to see the Heenan Monson dialouge

For the life of me can anyone tell me why the Hell they call Randy Ortons power slam off the ropes a Scoop Slam? does WWE wanna change the names of moves?
