I am trying to get more into the Indy picture as TNA is unwatchable and and I am suffering from John Cena overload. Could anyone recommend any Good Indy Wrestling DVD's that are worth checking out?

You can check out the "NWA wrestling from Hollywood" thread in this section.

The site shows episodes full of wrestling.

If you bought the PPV at gofightlive, you can download the PPV anytime you want. You don't get "replays" of internet PPV's.

But im sure you can find a torrent of it somewhere.

I was looking on Amazon and "PWG Sells Out" looks real good. Any recommended titles, or recommended (lesser known) wreslters to look for? Any good ROH dvd's?

SG, I posted megavideo links to it in the Final Battle thread.

Reloval, DGUSA's Enter the Dragon is one of the most consistently awesome events I've witnessed. Try that. Death Before Dishonor IV is probably my favourite ROH event too.

Depending how much indy you've watched before, you might be better starting off watching single matches with WWE/TNA guys in them. Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk II, Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson title unification, and Chris Jericho vs. Wild Pegasus would be good places to start.

If you want doses of Colt Cabana, Austin Aries and Adam Pearce on a different Indy show, NWA Wrestling from Hollywood is another place! xD

Side note: I AM GOING TO THEIR JAN 8 SHOW! All I take is one bus and I am at the show!

I put up links to Chikara's king of Trios 3 night tournament in the independent section that might still be active.... It's well worth watching.

PWG's Seven was one of the best shows anywhere this year. You may want to check out their Annual Battle of Los Angeles as well, the last few years have been off the charts. KurtRussellmania wasn't bad either!

IWA-MS' Ted Petty Invitational has been epic over the years, 2004 being the best year. Featuring the likes of Samoa Joe, AJ styles, Nigel McGuiness, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Matt Sydall and MANY more top workers, it was off the charts.
also from IWA MS is When Punk met Hero featuring an absolutely EPIC 90+ minute battle between Chris Hero and CM Punk from 2001!

If you like ROH then I recommend all of the events that took place in it's first couple of years of existence. They had some of the best workers who are currently in the "big two" today... Road to the title stands out as an awesome peice of work from the entire roster.
Great individual matches from ROH off the top of my head include:

Bryan Danielson v Lowki v Christopher Daniels
Lowki v Bryan Danielson
"" v KENTA
"" v AJ Styles
"" v Red
Samoa Joe v Kenta Kobashi
Samoa Joe v Lowki
Paul London V Michael Shane (street fight)
Any of the BRUTAL Homicide v Joe matches
The Best of five series between Homicde and Danielson
Paul London V Bryan Danielson (epic encounter)
Austin Aries v Bryan Danielson (epic encounter II)
And SOOOOO Many more!

JAPW's anniversary shows are a lot of fun to watch.

Lastly CZW's Best of the Best tournaments have kept me entertained over the years also. The first Five or so events especially... Jonny Storm v Jodie Fleisch from the 2nd event is particularly outstanding.

Basically I could go on for ever about Indy wrestling as there is so much to choose from. It's also my favourite (by a crystal clear mile) type of wrestling.

I recommend that you find yourself a DVD trader and get as many DVD's as you can, sit back and enjoy the ride.
