Lately I have been putting Angle in matches in Japan(See Kurt Angle thread in this section) . I was very interested in two companies battling in the ring like TNA and NJPW.

In the future, should these two companies go at it again after the BiscHogan era?

Yeah it does seem like a lot of wrestlers from TNA compete in NJPW too. I also remember either before or during the early days of TNA having a TV deal there used to be segmants of the show where Luchadores and Japanese wrestlers used to compete against each other and the TNA talent roster.

I like it! How about TNA vs. ROH or Chikara?

I like how these two companies go head to head. It does make good TV and it does draw crowds to see other forms of wrestling from other countries other than our own.

Its a shame that some don't even know how talented the Japanese and Mexican wrestlers really are. I bet the people in the Impact Zone don't know that Japan is a country ;)

This form of wrestling makes money.

If TNA did this on a PPV (or Impact), the ratings for that PPV/Show would jump through the roof in my opinion. I've rarely watched TNA and never one of their PPVs, but I would jump at the chance to see that kind of event.

Bring back Global Impact.

Read my earlier post...they used to do this quite frequently in the past. Personally, I don't think that would be the "BIG THING" that gets everyone to watch TNA. I agree that it may help the ratings some what due to the improvement to the actual in-ring product but it would do nothing for the storytelling. Most of the foreign talent can barely speak english...so you can only imagine how many good promos we'd get with a roster full of them.

The problem is that most Americans don't know Japanese or Mexican stars :(

TNA did have "Gobal Impact" though. Don't know the ratings on that....

Just bill it as a special edition of Impact. Doesn't have to advance story lines.

Global Impact had enough to make TNA and either NJPW or AAA famous in the US and Japan or Mexico.

Maybe but I think for it to really effect the ratings, more than just a "one time deal" would be needed. For example, a proper build up for said PPV event would be...if Eric Young's World Elite stable still existed and as a way to invade TNA, they brought over tons of foreign superstars to interfere with matches and temporarily make their numbers a huge threat.

Seeing these guys at least for 4 episodes of Impact showcasing their in ring skills and giving the fans a reason to watch the official PPV event would be most effective. Four weeks of Impact would give you some idea of what to expect at the PPV. Kind of like how they did with EV2.0....even though that PPV could have been a hell of a lot better.

Beer Money recently defeated Bad Intentions in a non title match. This should lead to a rematch.... But only in japan : (
Bringing in wrestlers from other companies is one of the things I miss the most in today's TNA....
Oh yeah, they can't afford to do things like that because of the huge salaries they're paying to guys who have done zip for the ratings.

I used to love the tournaments they'd do - the 16 man, 4 teams one.
You'd have like Team GB/ Team USA/ Team Canada/Team Japan/ Team mexico etc Then have wrestlers like shocker and puma come over for a few weeks. imo TNA is slowly edging away from an alternative to WWE. People watched TNA because it was unique with the X-Division and world cups etc. Sad times =/
