Well after what happened I have a feeling this will be just like the team of Diesel and Shawn Michaels with Joey Ryan kind of like the HBK Sleazy type of character and Morgan as the bodyguard, ending with Morgan turning on Ryan. But in the time being I see Ryan winning the X-Divison Championship from RVD (the reason why RVD beat Ion in the first place) and hopefully eventually leading to a major feud between the two by the end of next year.

thoughts?

I like it. Something I would like to see in Lockdown.

Do you know something I don't or are you just hypothesising? I like the idea though but I'd like to see Morgan involved in his own feuds too and not just play Robbie T to Ryan's Robbie E.

Agreed. Morgan carried the storyline on twitter by responding to a fan who asked why he helped Ryan, he said it was just another way to stick it to TNA for not having taken care of him they way everyone knew they should have by now. Morgan is a "PISSED OFF GIANT" at this point, and I love it since this is how Morgan should have been booked in the first place, instead of putting over people he shouldn't have. Morgan will be his own man, and Ryan will have to pay him back down the line.

Been way better to have Jesse Sorrenson beat Zema Ion than this garbage they are planning. Why not have him fued with Joe and take the TV title off of him? Joe actually is a big man that would make his gimmick work. RVD isn't huge and intimidating like Joe. Hense the reason he has Morgan.

Morgan and Ryan can be a great connection. I wouldn't mind seeing Morgan being Ryan's bodyguard, while building his own reputation. People tend to forget that Diesel's first WWE Championship reign came while he was still Micheal's bodyguard. Why can't Ryan be the X Champ and Morgan the World Champ.

morgan is to big of a star to be ryan body guard. they might do a thing where they bring up snow training him.

Simple... When Michaels and Nash were together, Michaels was the semi-established star. He didn't need Nash outside of the body guard. That's why when they split in meant Nash was standing on his own without the HBK support. What does Morgan need Ryan for? He said it was just another way to stick it to TNA, but outside of that, what else is there? If you took Ryan away from Morgan, it's not that "sink or swim" moment... It's that "look, he got rid of that guy he shouldn't have been with" moment.

Fair enough point.

I don't necessarily see Morgan as helping ryan directly, I think Morgan has done this to piss off the executives like snow just happened to help Ryan along the way.

Last I read, Ryan got hurt when Hernandez gave him the Border Toss at a house show... Yet another reason why Hernandez needs to get that out of his moveset and find some other move to show his power; it's far too easy to land wrong when someone launches you in the air like that.

If that's the case, I guess Matt Morgan can come back randomly, destroy some talent, and then Joey Ryan can cut a promo saying something like "Seems like you all, have forgotten some people", and then get back on track.

Yep easy fix. Morgan waits for Hogan to pick his "chosen" tag team to take the straps off of Roode/Aries, give them a few weeks to brag, and BAM! Morgan and the Organ are back to be that thorn bursting Hogans balloon and laughing as he cries about it.

Agreed, I wonder who would be the face team to beat Aries/Roode those two are great together, and I can't think of many top face teams, other than Hernadez and Chavo (but who want to see that team champions again?)

They served their purpose in getting Chavo into TNA without pushing him to the stars. The problem I have is that they took the belts off of Bad Influence when the team was getting major traction. Luckily, Daniels and Kaz had enough talent to rebound without much damage, but TNA is going to have to build at least two major face tag teams (The really seem to be lacking Face characters all over the board) and right now it seems as though everyone is involved somewhere else or else they'll just end up with Rob Terry teaming with Hernandez after he splits with Chavo... Maybe Sam Shaw and Alex Silva get pulled up from OVW to work as faces (I can see it in Shaw, but Silva seems to be more comfortable as a heel)

Side note - I wouldn't mind seeing Joe Park teaming with Robbie T or even a returning Eric Young. Eric has proven to be gold in tag teams and I could see him playing off of Park easily with him poking at Joseph's lack of "kayfabe" knowledge. It'd make for an interesting dynamic and would allow EY to keep his face run going as to not upset his Off the Hook viewers who expect his type of comedy when he's on the screen.

I like The EY and Parks team, I can see those playing off each other as well, it be nice to see TNA originals as tag team champions again. This would be a perfect team for Morgan and Ryan to attack and get major heat.

No doubt. As much as the crowd seem to love EY and J. Parks, I could easily see this being a rivalry that could get Morgan the heat he was looking for when he originally Carbon Footprinted Al Snow unconscious at Bound for Glory. Plus I think all characters would work well together at Park has the talent to remain someone competent in the ring and even dominant if Morgan split him open, and EY/Ryan seem to fit naturally in opposite roles of "true to TNA" vs. "screw TNA, I am about me" type of dynamic.

Indeed it would be something different, and a rivalry I'd love to see.

Plus EY with gold is never a bad thing.

I think Morgan should go ahead and break from Ryan. Send Ryan back to the X-Division and put Morgan back in line for the belt. Give the guy the ball and see if he can play. Let him be champ for awhile, he'll show if he's going to sink or swim

So would you have him take the belt off of Hardy? As is, Bully is set to turn as the WHC of the A&8s (or so I speculate) so are you saying to put Morgan in that role instead? Or would you have Morgan take the belt off of Bully after a heel turn (again, assuming this is the direction)?

I could see Morgan in line for being the man to upset AJ in the BFG series, but it depends upon who is the champion at the time. But what would you have Morgan do in the meantime because I don't think sticking him into the WHC picture just to lose to whoever is the champ until a suitable opponent and angle is made ready; it would really kill the whole "dominant athlete set on pissing off the boss" aspect he has going right now.
