Here's an excert from ROH's latest newswire:

- “Boiling Point 2012” on August 11th in Providence, RI promises to be a bigger event than originally expected! Check back over the weekend to ROHWrestling.com for a big announcement and get tickets for our Providence, RI debut right here.

Sounds to me like it's going to be made an iPPV. It has already got some big matches announced:

- The Briscoes vs. S.C.U.M. (Corino & Jacobs)
- Michael Elgin vs. Charlie Haas
- Jay Leathal vs. Tomasso Ciampa

+

on an upcoming TV show it will be announced Kevin Steen will be facing Eddie Kingston for the ROH World Championship at the event

So I'm thinking they'll do an iPPV, last minute 10th Anniversary style

What do you guys think?

Would you want this to happen?

Talking about this on the ROHWorld.com forum, it could be that what I've got in the spoiler tags will be the announcement, as that will be on TV this week

Solid card so far. Steen vs Kingston for the ROH world title is full of win. Jay Leathal vs. Tomasso Ciampa (I'm a Ciampa mark) is another match that will be pretty good.

Steen/Kingston sounds like it could fuckin' rock. I have their match from the 4/28 Chikara show laying about, should give that a butchers before this show. I wonder if this the rematch will have a fuck finish as well

Briscoes/SCUM and Chompa/Lethal both have potential to be dark horse MOTNs. Elgin/Haas sounded good on paper until I realised their match at DBDIX was dull as shit. Varying degrees of meh @ everything else on that card.

Should be a good show if anyone will be able to watch it.

Kinda weird that they would put Brutal Bob against Adam Cole for the TV title but meh, no complaints here.

Brutal Bob may be portraying a "manager" type in ROH and has had very few matches there, but the dude does have almost twenty years experience in the Massachusetts/New England independent scene and seems to be a legit wrestling trainer. Here's rare footage of him being squashed by Adam Bomb in 1993's WWF:

The match is pretty smart booking in a way. I reckon he's one of the few potential "proving ground" opponents for Cole that could actually draw any heel heat from a typical ROH crowd. That's assuming it isn't going to end up being a squash or comedy segment.
