Hi Guys,

I was just thinking about the ridiculous schedule the WWE has. Not only is raw going three hours, but (lets be honest both set of wrestlers are duel branded now) then every month you have another three hour PPV, plus the numourous house shows that each of them do a year... give and take a few (Undertaker for example). So with Raw going three hours, would it not make sense to reduce the number of 'B' Level PPV to every two months maybe (as there practically useless anyway) making the 'Big Four' PPV's 4 hours. It's a small tweak to the PPV schedule that gives these guys just a little room to breath and take a break. Hay it might no have any effect what so ever.

What do you guys think?

Well most PPVs are just fillers and do not have much build so with less PPV's it means better buildup than just a stare down (divas match nwo anyone? xD ) and matches people actually care about. but I also think they should stick to the gimmick PPV's (not every match), and ffs they own so many PPV themes, names etc but they use the same ones over and over, switch em up and use them properly. So I think it would benefit the product not to mention the talent would be more rested.

people have to remember that wwe makes money off the ppv. also the wrestlers make money off of the ppv. so when you say they shouldn't have so many ppvs then your saying that the wrestlers should take a pay cut.

No not at all, with the increase of the big four going to four hours, and the extra hour to raw as well as both brands appearing on each other, i'd say that kind a puts them on the same level..... plus with raw going three hours, surly that means mid card talant will be getting paid more, due to them getting actually on the card?? that goes for the PPV bonus as well if you increase the big fours by an hour. It's win win, they'll still make the same ammount, but have that rest at the end of the week. The current WWE shedule is crazy, and everyone including the higher up in WWE, can see it's killing of there talent.

how is making ppv 4 hours the same as 12 to 13 ppvs?

It really would be beneficial storyline-wise having a much larger gap between PPV's allowing for the longer, more detailed and fleshed out builds, but as far as giving the wrestlers more rest on the road, I don't think that cutting a few 3 hour PPV's off of the schedule (as well as time for promoting the events) would have that large of an impact on the guys.

Besides, facing the truth, WWE is a business after all, and it really would depend on whether the longer build would in turn lead to more buys for the PPV's they do have. If they cut the PPV's for longer feud build-ups, and no real change in PPV buys is seen, then WWE are just losing out on money. It may be worth a shot though, just to test the waters.

Or you know they could just use a real simple solution for helping the already crazy schedule... DON'T MAKE RAW 3 HOURS LONG! :)

Yeah its bad, but its what they sign up for, and what they get paid loads for.

The most logical thing I've read yet. If creative has a hard enough time doing two, how in the hell is three going to be better?

it was already rumoured that the first hour will be recaps of last week and some back stage stuff. also 3 hours does shit to there work load. the wrestlers are already at where ever there wrestling for hours before raw. extra hour will just help the midcards get more time.

I think the international travel is what's bothering the talent and effecting mostly I mean one week there in Brazil the next they are in Spain it's alot of travel miles. Having another hour on a show doesn't matter because CM Punk and John Cena and other guys are wrestling that night regardless of how long it is. I will say I think When wwe gets their network running I think they'll have all their ppvs except the big four on it for free for people who subscribe to the channel like what HBO/Showtime does for Boxing.

Most guys/wrestlers are paid by a yearly contract.... Limiting the number of PPVs wouldn't hurt other then the money it brings in from advertisers that pays most of the contracts in the WWE...
You go back and look at the 80s when WWF/E and NWA was running 4 house shows a weekend... not to mention TV tapings once or twice a week and 2 or 4 house shows during the week.... Sure the travel is still hectic but nothing like the old days... Raw 3 hours, 2 hours of Smackdown or a 3 hour PPV helps.... Esp those in the Mid-card, otherwise if you limit their schedule they become lazy.

The schedule is absurd! They need to limit the events that wrestlers can appear. Have them rotate house shows. I could not imagine what guys like Cena/Punk are going through. House shows + Raw + Smackdown 2 + Dark matches. Its amazing that wrestlers are not injured more.

Yeah the schedule sucks alright but they will never reduce the number of ppvs. If anything they could cut back on house shows a little bit.
