SuperLuchas.net reports WWE (http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news?Item%5Btags%5D=WWE) performer Cody Rhodes recently tested positive on a drug test for a banned substance but was cleared after providing a valid prescription from a licensed and treating physician.

Prior to being cleared, it would appear that Rhodes believed he was facing suspension. He cryptically wrote May 21 on Twitter: "Time off." He appeared at the following day's SmackDown taping in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and subsequent shows since then.

The website also reports that another WWE (http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news?Item%5Btags%5D=WWE) performer whose name has not been disclosed recently had a positive drug test and will be suspended if a valid prescription is not produced.

WWE (http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news?Item%5Btags%5D=WWE) announced Wednesday that Randy Orton (http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news?Item%5Btags%5D=Randy%20Orton) had been suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the company's Talent Wellness Program. SuperLuchas.net reports the suspension stems from a positive drug test for the anabolic steroid Dianabol, which is banned by the United States Congress under it Controlled Substances Act. He also reportedly tested positive for marijuana, which is subject to a $2,500 fine.

and what are YOUR thoughts on the matter? Geez, why does it seem like everybody is getting lazy with their threads? What is the point of posting what any of use could have seen on the main board, if you don't give your own opinion? Seriously, it's just lazy. Now to the matter of the actual thread? Glad Cody was able to prove it was a prescription, it would suck if he got suspended. I am curious as to who the 2nd indivudal is though, guess we will find out in time

I know. Had Cody Rhodes been suspended, it would've suffered a huge void on SmackDown.

The WWE keeps such a rigid schedule that the wrestlers are looking for any way to keep up, knowing how fickle WWE management can be with their talent...even at the risk of violationg the substance abuse protocol. No sport had such a demanding 250+ day travel regimine, & the WWE needs to address this concern for the wellbeing of their talent, both in front of & behind the cameras.
