If you could change TNA, if you even would, what would you do?

I posted this in the Abyss thread, but as far as the EV2/Abyss/"They" storyline, I would have had RVD/Abyss pull a swerve and have Abyss win the Title from RVD at the original Hard Justice PPV, then the very next Impact, have the big brawl with the ECW guys finally getting involved, pull and RVD heel turn and use the EV2 to help get Abyss over and become the "New Generation of Extreme". You would carry on the Extreme Invasion, and maybe have Foley return as a heel in some form of "stock holder management position", and he could have made the ECW PPV a FEW months down the road, and then at the beginning of the year, follow up with the attack from Fortune (who would be face) going up against EV2. Sinple storyline that could have lasted the rest of 2010 and into 2011

Beer Money/MCMG is PERFECT right now and is the hottest thing going in TNA. I would go back to TNA's original roots, and make those guys more of a "main focus" with a huge push for their matches, PPV Main Events, Etc. I would use this to make 4 hot, brand new "next level" stars for TNA.

Samoa Joe needs to go back to being a Nation of Violence. Point Blank. Make him the loose cannon that is face one night and heel the next that does anything he wants to do. Similar to Kurt Angle, he would just run through the whole TNA roster with squash matches, making his way up in the Title rankings. Eventually, Angle and Joe would have to bump heads. Put Joe back on the map by making him be the one that retires Kurt Angle. Because when he made that announcement, I knew he was going straight for the Title. WAAAYYYYY to obvious TNA, so swap it up and have Joe put him out.

Fortune is amazing. However, Ric Flair needs to be mouthpiece ONLY and nothing more. Kaz is a great "stooge" for the group, Beer Money fits perfectly, and AJ as well. This is a slow build for the ones involved, which is good. AJ is being groomed into the next Ric Flair and will come into his own soon enough. When that happens, you use AJ Styles to get Kaz over, having an awesome feud between these two outstanding performers. Who would always have some sort of friendship but at the same time be bitter rivals. This seems to be the ONLY thing TNA has going for them long term.

Nash/Sting/Jarrett/Hogan/Bischoff is good for now.... Kind of sketchy as to what they are planning. But, it is good for fans like me who LOVE the whole nWo/WCW era. Seeing Sting with that red face paint was AWESOME for me, and this is good to have them involved with each other and not be the main focus of the show or not be holding down the younger guys. This seems okay for short term and will be good as long as this angle doesn't grow too much more.

Beautiful people/Motorcycle woman. Honestly, who cares. It was a cute little storyline from the knockouts division Yeah... and if you want to make it interesting, move her away from just the BP and have her attack the whole entire Division, as a "take everybody out" type of deal. Beautiful people are in TNA for one reason. "TNA". TNA needs to get a little more racy with these 3, considering spike TV is the "network for men"... if you wanna rip some WWE/old storylines, incorporate some HLA or Extreme Expose' or something, because that's what the guys watch the beautiful people for.

I would also be okay with having the first match of every TNA iMPACT be X Division. Let these guys shine like they once were, and bring some older X Division stars back in!! Daniels, Jerry Lynn, Elix Skipper, etc and build this thing back up!!! You could even put Samoa Joe back in the X Division!!! But, do something!!!!!

and please BRING BACK THE 6 SIDED RING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feel free to comment or post your own ideas!!!!

First of all, I love what TNA has been doing lately. The last Impact was awesome. That was the show I've been waiting for for years. No B.S. with the microphones. Just wrestling. It was like the shows from the 50's.
I'd like TNA to try new things like different camera angles like the new one above the ring but from the outside. So far, all we get are brief shots with it. Try a whole match just with that camera. The key word is "try".
Also, I'd like to see them do different things with the look of the ring such as the ring mat itself. Why does it always have to be white? Why not black? Or red? Or blue? I've seen Lucha Libre on MTV2 use the blue one. I know it has to do with TV and the lighting but at least try it. If it doesn't work, scrap it.

Get rid of Hogan & Bischoff and bring in Paul Heyman. Bring back the 6 sides ring and get a new president for the company.

i would bring back the 6 sided a ring because it gives the company a different look. Revitalize the x division and give them 20-30 minutes a show. cut all the crap talking out. I would also Push Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Abyss as the faces of the company. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair i would keep but minimalise hulks talking time. put him in the sort of GM Position and ric flair as a manager and VERY occasional manager. Another main focus would be the tag team division, they have an AMAZING tag team roster...use them all!

Fire Hogan and keep Bischoff, the man has a brain for pro wrestlting business, Then try to get Paul heyman so he can handle the story lines.
I would fire some of the dead weight also

I agree with this person, the booking has been good as of late and people need to lay off of it. Its the overall look of it that needs changing. Sure the X-Division needs to be used more but the ratings have been consistent as of late which is good. TNA is not going to pull a 2 or 3 yet.

firstly, i would tell Hogan, Bischoff & Russo to FUCK OFF! secondly, i would re-hire Christopher Daniels, Roxxi, Awesome Kong & Alissa Flash.. i would also try to get Paul Heyman to join TNA for the storyline issues

booking as of late in TNA is improving to i don't think i would change it.. but i would bring back the six sided ring because it differed TNA from other promotions & i preferred the look of it

i would bring back the Main Event Mafia & try to get back as many members as possible from the MEM & re-unite the LAX & add maybe another two members to it, someone from AAA like Jennifer Blake or Sexy Star & put Konnan as the leader of LAX again..

hire departed WWE stars like Katie Lea, Shelton Benjamin, The Hurricane & Mickie James (yes i know people will bitch about stealing from WWE but they are all very talented & it's WWE's fault for firing them)

i think tna has been good the last month or so with the ecw storyline and what happened last week maybethey are starting to turn a corner

what i would like to change in tna is the x division its went down hill fast in the last 2 years and it use to be the best thing about tna when they had petey williams, christopher daniels, even davari i thought was a good champion and the ultimate x matches where always good they have the guys to do it like kendrick amazing red homicide but the have not really done anything with them and need to bring the focus back on that

would like them to expand the tag team divisin more the matches beer money and mcmg had where probs the best tag team best of series since the hardys vs edge and christian back in 99 or perhaps even better this is where they can really out do wwe since wwe's tag division is ging no where

would also like them to bring in heyman or sullivan as head writer booker and put russo in a lesser role

Both Kevin and Paul have been contacted by TNA I believe. Bringing one or both would be excellent. I have a problem with Kevin in relation to something that happened a few years ago involving You Know Who.

I thought you where doing so well until you said "Bring Back the 6 Sided Ring"

The 6 sided ring was good for the visual of TNA however it was a complete novelty that wore off long ago, now TNA with four sides actually look like a legitimate company with a realistic chance of becoming major players

Will have to agree with all of that plus my own ideas. i would hire stars that can actually wrestle and not just there for show such as sting. I mean he's the icon and always will be. but now look at him.His age is showing that he should have retired at bound for glory. no offense to people that disagree with me. i would bring back the british invasion as they were slowly improving as a tag team and could have been helping the Tag team division along with MCMG and beer money and reunite LAX!!!

X division needs to be used again. I would let Doug drop the title to jay lethal as i think doug now should be moving onto the television title. I would hire daniels back plus some stars from mexico and japan.

Desmond wolfe needs to get back into the heavyweight title shot.

I would improve careers such as amazing red, eric young ect. i would help red by helping him get rid of his shyness when he's on the mic as this can help improve his image to become a future legend

Keep the 4 sided ring, reduce Hogan on screen, sure he gets a huge pop from the crowd but if he challenged someone or gets beaten up he just looks embarrasing. Flair can have as much TV as he wants if it's to help push others which it always is. Storylines have been good, but could be longer. Angle climbing the ladder is great. Push the x division more. Tag team is brilliant. Heavyweight title looks very competative. Almost forgot, please take Impact on the road soon, or at least the PPVs. Surely they must be able to get a good enough number for the PPVs.

If not cancel the Woooo tour here in the UK and come over here every PPV, we UK fans will fill the arenas.

First and foremost I'd fire Rob Terry!

After that, rebuild what brought them to the dance, namely The X-Division. I don't think anybody on this board can argue that the X-Division was the one single defining factor that brought them to watch TNA in the first place and THATS what they need to differentiate themselves from WWE.

Once we had a viable X-Division, complete with its own top ten rankings and at least 30 minutes of airtime a week I'd start bringing back in women that can wrestle. A couple of years back the Knockouts division was right up there with the X-Division in terms of being "something different" to what WWE have been doing.

Other than rebuilding those two divisions? We need a couple more tag-teams in the company AND the tag champions need to be main eventing Impact every once in a while ~it never hurt the Steiner Brothers did it?.

The World title picture, other than Rob Terry, is the one thing thats benefited from the Hogan/Bischoff regime and I'd leave that as is with the exceptions of maybe giving Mr Anderson the chance to be the champ and see if he can live up to the Rock comparisons that come out every once in a while.

Finally I'd bring back the six-sided ring and slap a great big TNA logo in the center of it to show everybody which company is putting out all this great action.

Right now the WWE are not showing much cruiserweights so your right TNA should showcase their X-Division talents. I do think TNA should have 2 shows a week which means more time for them. Or have a seperate show for the X-division and have the six sided ring on that show. That could work.

How would i change TNA?

easy Get rid of Hogan, Bishoff, do not sign Haymen, but use the men you have who have worked in TNA and know what they are doing. cuase bishoff doesn't know whats his doing to me, Hogan doesn't really care, his in for the $$$.As for, Heyman, well if bishoff haven'r done anything what can Haymen do.

They really need to concentrate on they young guys/TNA guys ( the ones who been there)

The tag team/ X-division- fast paced matches, which will out-dry WWE crap any single given day ( BM-MCMG as example)
fast paced matches done correctly( mid-long range matches) could give a great reason to watch wrestling like it should be.

Knock-outs- never really liked female wrestlings either fire them all or make them atleast do some decent matches( wrestling wise :))

see as WWE concentrates solely on the world/heave weight champion, i'd prefer to not have that much emphasis on it but not really make it a crappy

Whats even better i would say those non-title matches should be just as good

The 6 sided ring made TNA different. In my honest opinion, TNA should have kept the 6 sided ring for the Six Sides of Steel Cage and it made the X-Division interesting.

I would add a Hardcore Belt to the mix. So after this whole EV2.0 thing blows over, there would be enough belts for all members of the roster to compete for.
People who are way past their prime, like Nash for example, would get the chop.
Take the X-Division off the back burner and give it some air time.
Let Mr. Anderson and The Pope feud. they are the two best on the mic on TNA.
Take TNA on the Road

Nothing...I would let TNA simmer in its own juices and once it has crumbled I would start over with the talent and management I felt deserved a second chance in my new company. Right now TNA believes its on the road to success; however, I don't think so. I would let them see where their way has got them.

I'd fire Russo and start working on some more professional and believable writing. I'd return to the style of 2005 and before, with big focus on the X Division and quality wrestling. I would keep around some of the old guys, just for star power, but would take them out of the spotlight and make them manage talented wrestlers who aren't so good on the mic. Flair would not be delivering promos about how great HE is and was; his purpose would be to put over whoeever he's managing, just like Bobby Heenan, Mr Fuji and all the other great managers did.

I'd also turn AJ back to a babyface and have him in a passionate chase for the title. I'd turn Samoa Joe heel and have him destroy Xdivision stars, much like he did when he first arrived.

I'd have more shoot-style interviews where wrestlers speak out against TNA management and try to blur the line between fiction and reality.

Everyone seems to think that bringing back the 6 sided ring is a big answer.... You have to consider that most mainstream fans dident like it, and TNA is trying to go mainstream. I dont know if I'd realy change much about it other than improve on their storylines. I dont think they've had a big story thats stuck recently. They keep changing for whatever reason. They definately need to improve on the way they handle how their matches end. For instance last thursday, at the end of the main event tag match, when Pope got in Andersons face, Anderson should have put the mic check on him, then have Angle run in and hit Anderson with the angle slam, then Hardy hit anderson with the TOF, then Pope could come back and his his finisher on Hardy. Its a fairly common type of ending that gets the crowd pumped and a lil boost in the ratings. But it the small things like that that could realy give TNA a push.

Things I would change on TNA
1. Get out of Orlando Florida and get another arena and have fans start paying for there tickets.
2. Make Xplosion a 2 hour show for the Xdivision wrestlers
3. Make a Knockouts show, maybe 1 hour show.
4 Im not against older wrestlers in TNA, but they should never get a championship.

This is easy
1) let go of the old names as headliners, (sting, hogan, nash ect)
2) NO MORE HOGAN AND FLAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!1
3) no more wwe talent (build off new names, like Red and Lethal
4) focus on X-division
5) change the womens division gimicks -yes tna has amazing female talent but their gimicks have either been really trashy or slutty
6) BRING BACK DANIELS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd fire Russo and hire someone who would present a more serious sports over entertainment style of wrestling to make it a true alternative to the WWE. That would bring back old school fans and make matches mean something. As far the 6 sided ring goes, the wrestlers themselves didn't like the thing I'm not sure why everyone likes it so much.

Get rid of Matt Morgan. He's annoying, his mic skills are terrible. Everytime Morgan is on the mic he yells into it. He really needs better public speaking skills. Someone should give him the Ultimate Warrior's number.

Jay Lethal has been the number one antagonist of Fortune, and they have been treating it like an on again off again relationship. Fortunes "supposed" goal in TNA was to capture all the titles. Lethal now holds the X-Division title. A title that he beat Douglas Williams(member of fortune) for. With the push he got from beating Flair(their leader), and AJ Styles(their poster child). An epic upper mid-card feud is already there. TNA faithfuls feel Lethal has paid his dues without question. I would have fortune screw Lethal out of the X-Division title and give it to Kaz after Williams go through a win or you're out feud with Lethal. I feel fortune has too many people. They're suppose to be a neo-horseman stable, keep it at four wrestlers(Styles, Kaz, Beer Money) and a manager(Flair). Just like the original. Lethal declares all out war on Fortune...again. Ends up feuding with Styles over the TV title. A title that was suppose to defended every week on Impact. It's been at least a month and a half since Styles last defense. They go back and forth over the title leading up to a best 2/3 falls match. This will give Leathal the opportunity to show he is a main eventer. He has what it takes to keep up with Styles. He proved that with his match against Angle. Jay Lethal stock can go nowhere but up. He has everything he needs except the backing of managment.

I agree with this completly. When Cornette was running the storylines, he had a perfect way of putting the spot light on the younger stars. While still feeding the egos of the veterans. He knows how to put on a show, book creative matches, and treat everyone with the overall respect they deserve as performers. You would see a guy have fued for a few months and disapear like Jay Lethal has. Jay Lethal/Fortune has a lot of potential, I think that Vince Russo just doesn't put minorities over.
