I just got ROH TV in my area this weekend and after seeing that really long 8 man tag team match I am now hooked, I recognized Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas from their time in WWE and I am very happy to see them doing well in another company but I was lost on who everyone else was, and I imagine I will be even more out of the loop when I see other people introduced. I am just wondering what I need to know to be able to follow the product and know what is going on.

Right, great to see new ROH fans

The ROH site is a good place to start. The roster page is pretty basic but it will mean you will know who everybody is. If you have some free time you could sign up for a free membership and watch back through the previous episodes of ROH TV, there haven't been to many of them and it will introduce you to the majority of the roster.

ROH is mainly based on in-ring action but they do have the occasional videowire (about once or twice a month). This is where a huge bulk of there promos are

ROH also has a lot of DVD releases. These events are always great, but without major storyline implications. If you want to check out Survival of the Fittest or Gateway to Honor... cough (http://fight-bb.com/?s=ROH)

If you want to know anything else, just ask

Know the 3 titles in Ring of Honor....
Television title
World Tag

Next thing get to know the different styles of wrestling.... Submission, Catch as Catch Can, Greco Roman, Hardcore and etc as ROH is known to mix up different styles of wrestling..... Another thing is the Marathon Matches that has been known to go 20 or 30 minutes except for TV in most cases which in most case 10 to 15 minutes....
As said above Ring of Honor is known for the in ring action... But with the TV market, I would guess more promos will become a thing to build revivals and story-lines....

My advice is to just sit back and enjoy and it will come eventually!!

I would say dont judge the company off its TV show, judge it off the ppv s. Also if your new to it I suggest buying some recent ppv such as final battle 11 , best in the world and death before dishonour IX

If you have a mute button it will come in handy as Kevin Kelly's commentary sucks and I sometimes feel bad for Nigel

Hmmm, thanks guys, after looking back at the TV show this week I can say I am a fan of Mike Elgin, I always liked that hard hitting powerhouse style that guys like Tazz, Rhyno, and Matt Morgan have. I will keep watching and look back when I can.
