Yeah with these new young coaches coming into college football it going be like that for the next few years....

Dr. Death

I'd hope that these young coaches will look at what's happening in these games and step up their practices with more of a look at their defenses, but still keep their offenses pumped.

I don't mind 35-28 games, but 70-whatever it was... That's a little outrageous if you ask me. I thought the motto was "Offense wins games, Defense wins championships." At this rate the top two teams were the only ones to play defense, but next year? Who knows if we'll see something like Oregon vs Oklahoma State with the score 80-79.

Okay I know OSU won't be as good next year, but it was just an example based on some of the stuff I saw this year in college football.

WVU could had easily scored another 21 points I believe, but the coach took out the 1st strings and put in 2nd and 3rd... some of the 2nd and 3rd strings was still dominating....
Lots of coaches feel more comfortable with power offensive plays, look at most Big 12 schools primarily Texas, Oklahoma, and Baylor. Then Pac 10 or what ever with Oregon which is known for high scoring games...

Going to the LSU/Alabama game Monday, can't wait. Being originally from Louisiana, I am hoping LSU wins. I am not a huge football fan, but do like it when teams I like do great, it will just be fun to be there when LSU WINS!
Plus I want LSU to win because I do not want Nick Sabin saying that he brought a team to a national championship again.

They just outplayed us. i give those guys credit where credit is due. That said, it was still fun as hell being there. And even though I usually hate going to New Orleans for anything- I had lots of fun. And it was cool to actually see Jim Mora there in person(former Saints coach- now doing some work with one iof the local channels when they are talking football)

Yeah, that and had the QB number all night..... I don't understand why didn't they change QBs in the 3rd or 4th Qt while they had a chance to get back in the game, what was wrong with the 2nd string QB....

Nothing is wrong with him- Miles would play both of them in all the other games- and they both worked out great. I think he just left the 1st stringer in because this was his last year- least thats what I heard. If thats the reason, it was stupid- they should play to win, put whoever in that will bring them that win. But they had a great season, this game it seemed like they were lazt, on autopilot, and Alabama just beat their asses.
