Okay I need some help. I want to learn either Karate or Kung Fu but not sure which one to choose.
There are many other forms of martial arts but these are the only two available closer to my area. I tried searching on google but didn't get a proper answer.

Basically I just want to learn something that will not only help develop the skill but also help develop character, mind, body, soul, self confidence etc... which I read that both karate/kung-fu can do. I just have so much stress in real life and many other things, I need something that can help me get my mind off the world and make me feel better inside and outside.

I have taken karate before, long long time ago when I was a kid, more than 11 years ago and I don't remember much at all, I have never taken Kung Fu. I'm not a violent guy and main intention is not to use this to pick fights with others or act like a tough guy, but just something I can use my time wisely for, a new hobby/skill where I can learn new stuff all my life.

I am leaning towards Kung Fu but I heard its much harder, I don't mind a challenge. What would you recommend?

Take MMA its more practical. If there is a place near you that teaches Marine or Army hand to hand combat then you should go there.
