#1. On the first RAW episode January 11, 1993, Bret Hart, the WWE champion, was not on the show. WHY? Your own champion not on the RAW premiere?
#2. Hulk Hogan never wrestled a match on RAW in 1993. WHY? He held the belt from April-June 1993.

back then seeing the champion was really rare on tv. seriously they would only do like one apperance to promote a ppv fight. and the rest were jobbin matches. nothing special.

Raw was also not the biggest show back then. It was on basic cable, while there other Saturday show was on a network (NBC if I remember correctly). In '93 basic cable wasn't much, and if it wasn't on network TV it wasn't watched. I don't know what the ratings were back then, but I'd bet they were low.

And as stated earlier, Champions were rarley on TV back then. They were reserved for PPVs or events like Saturday Night's Main Event (or house shows).

They were part of the SmackDown brand.

No,seriously,it was before my time,but a very good observation,maybe at the time,Raw wasn't the A-show of WWF.

so If John Cena wrestled back then,we wouldn't have to see him on RAW? What a pity it doesn't happen like that anymore
