Perception can sometimes be more important than truth
especially if you work in a customer service field.

every relationship has a dominant and submissive member, the trick to happiness is finding out which you are, and not fighting against it.

also, from Dragon Age (I know, nerd)

Existence is a choice.
There is no chaos in the world, only complexity.
Knowledge of the complex is wisdom.
From wisdom of the world comes wisdom of the self.
Mastery of the self is mastery of the world. Loss of the self is the source of suffering.
Suffering is a choice, and we can refuse it.
It is in our power to create the world, or destroy it.

Oh I have these as my fav quotes which I believe on too.

Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting them back together.

Confucius once said that if everyone got their dream job, nobody would be working.

I'm full of these things lol

If you aren't there to win, why play at all?

and something my grandpa always used to tell me

Being the best is about constantly finding new ways to improve yourself, each week work on something new.

If you have the dream of being a star. Aim for it, because even if you fail. At least you'll be around them.

If your normal the crowd will accept you, if your deranged the crowd will make you it’s leader.

You will never understand what I have to say if you can't understand why I'm not saying it.

And most importantly: It wouldn't hurt you to think like a serial killer every once in a while, just for the sake of prevention

I live by the credo that the sting of honesty is better than the comfort of a lie. And the filter with which you choose to lie or tell the truth so a certain person is a good gauge of how much you care for said person.

Depends if you're in the management field. If so, you have to look at it from a post - modern perspective, modern perspective, or symbolic perspective. I've read too much of this shit

My own: Religion isn't something you prove with science. It's something you know, and put your belief in.

I remember reading Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Sartre when I was fifteen and just thinking I was the coolest motherfucker ever. It's all a bunch of angsty/depressing bollocks though, existentialism.

I'll throw a couple of reposts in here, because I'm not in a navel-gazing mood right now.

A cool thing about perfectionism that I paraphrased from a novel:

Suppose you were given a keyring with a hundred keys on it, only one of which would unlock the door that opens into all that you want to be, as a player. How many of those keys would you be willing to try?

Every single one, right? Then that means you should be willing to make mistakes to achieve your goals, willing to accept a 99% chance of error to improve yourself as a player.

Anyone who claims to only be in it to win it all the time? They would be standing in front of that door forever, afraid to try the first key. Their inner perfectionist would be too afraid to fail.

Aaaaand a couple of Slavoj Zizek videos (first one is about political ideologies, the second is critique of charities/capitalism

The problem with common sense is it's not all that common.
