Hoping this gets stickied since then newbies can add to this thread when they find it.
But basically.

Who do you support and in what sport?
How long have you been supporting them? (If you can remember)
What was the best moment with your team since you've been supporting them?
What was the worst moment with your team since you've been supporting them?

I'll go first since i'm a sportsjunkie and follow a stupid amount of sports.

Here are mine (Part 1):

Football:
Premier League
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cf/Manchester_City.svg/200px-Manchester_City.svg.png
Manchester City FC
Have been for a long while (before the money and we struggled to stay in this league)
Joint 10th most successful english cup with 5 FA Cups, 4 Leagues Cups, 2 english division titles, 1 pointless Euro minor cup and a truck load of funny stats and stories.
Best moment:Being the only team in Jose Mourinhos first season as Chelsea manager to beat his Chelsea, 1-6 at Old Trafford or the FA Cup comeback against Spurs!
Worst moment: Middlesborough 8 - 1 Man City a few years back.

MLS:
http://www.niceiphonewallpapers.com/wallpapers/iphone/mls_soccer_vancouver_whitecaps_soccer_football_351 5.jpg
Vancouver Whitecaps FC
Started supporting them the day they were allowed to be in MLS so since the start of there professional career a few months back. Never won anything but I think it'll be fun to support another club from overseas.
Best moment: Hassilis equaliser against the Sounders
Worst moment: Winning the Wooden Spoon. But every team has to start somewhere, even if its rock bottom.

NHL (Ice Hockey):
http://todovancouver.com/wp-content/uploads/canucks_big.gif
Vancouver Canucks
A 'nuck since 2005. We have a lot of highs and lows and will continue too.
Best moment: Bieksa scoring the goal to beat San Jose to take us into the Stanley Cup finals and the whole season beforehand.
Worst moment: Louongo leaking a stupid amount of goals in the finals to give the Boston Bullshits the win.

MLB (Baseball):
http://images.pictureshunt.com/pics/m/milwaukee_brewers_logo-9473.gif
Milwaukee Brewers
A bit of a weird story but I used to be a Detroit Tigers fan and even saw them play, but then me and my fiancée (who was a hardcore Tigers fan) so I stopped watching this. I've only just gotten back into it and I decided to pick the Brewers since I like Wisconsin and the fans of them are pretty cool. Can't really like any Detroit teams now, just kinda left a sour taste for them really.
Best moment: Beating the DiamonBacks 3-2 in the series (mainly the final nail biting game)
Worst moment: Losing to the Cubs 5-1 near the end of the season.

Manchester United
Barcelona
Juventus

ooh, this is a good one

in the NFL I've supported the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2005

Best Moment since supporting them

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24k3PCL4prU

when this play happened, I marked out more than I would if Shawn Michaels returned full time, biggest play in Super Bowl history

Worst Moment:

when this happened I literally died inside, after this happened I went into my room, and just sat in the dark with no lights on no TV, and just sat there

Part 2 (doing it in parts since I want to add the teams' logos)

NFL (Gridiron football):
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-amJHZd5oH5k/Tet8yts22vI/AAAAAAAABA8/NOzRM15kf3M/s1600/jacksonvillejaguars.gif
Jacksonville Jaguars
Been a fan since 2008. Yes I know they're not the best and not done much but I look at a lot of other teams and I either don't like the state/city, play in shite colours or way to successful to be interesting to support.
Best moment: Beating the Ravens by kicking or beating the Colts (pick any ;D)
Worst moment: Going from 8-5 to 8-8 when we could of gotten to the play-offs last season

NBA (Basketball):
http://media.ticketmaster.com/tm/en-us/dbimages/59073a.gif
Phoenix Suns
Dat logo. VHX supports PHX ;D Big fan of Steve Nash and like NFL there are a lot of teams I don't like so these guys have my support (...when they play lol)
Best moment: Beating the Spurs a night I stayed up to watch, was worth it.
Worst moment: Overall where we finished. Should've made the play-offs but didn't

AFL (Aussie Rules Football):
http://mm.afl.com.au/Portals/0/fremantle_images/2009_Promotion_Pics/LOGO2011-246A-use-this-one.jpg
Frementle Dockers FC
Not going to lie. Just picked them this week because i'm going to try and get into this sport some more so hoping this unsuccessful and young-ish team does some interesting stuff.

Final team I support over all sports is:

http://www.absolutegraphix.co.uk/AGimg/CofA_EnglandFC.jpg

I assure you. For sports like football I have tried not to support them but I just end up routing for them. Obvious reasons for supporting them. I'm English lol
This is even in sports I currently don't have a team for (e.g Rugby and Cricket)

Best moment: The best 3 english moments would have to be
3rd - Being ranked #1 in Cricket and winning the 20-20 cup.
2nd - Winning World Cup 2003 vs. the Aussies.
1st - Well. We have a song for it now. ;)

5-1 AND EVEN HESKEY SCORED! 5-1 AND EVEN HESKEY SCORED! 5-1...TO ENGLAND!

Worst moment: Fuck how long do you have. Mainly football moments due to us sucking a lot in World Cups and Euro Cups. Probably Euro 2004.

I'll probably add to my list when I want to expand my sports lol.

part of me wishes I was alive back in the 70's in the Steelers golden age, but this is a pretty good age as well, but I would have loved to see Lynn Swan, Joe Greene or Jack Lambert play live, but instead, all I get is black and white footage and stories about them

Been a Liverpool fan all my life (18) my mum is a Liverpool which is probably why.

Best moment: Champions League 2005 :)
Worst Moment: Finishing 7th in a terrible season and watching so many stars go :(

Don't like any other sport, support England but all English people do.

Football: I'm a United fan, have been since 1997 when I was 5, and I will to the day I die.

Greatest moment? Either beating Chelsea on penalties, winning the treble, but one that sticks out as well is Kiko's winner against Villa, I literally went mental.

Worst? Maybe the 6-1, maybe the failure to beat Barca in a final

I also enjoy Leverkusen, but I don't catch enough games really to pinpoint great moments.

NFL: San Diego

Have been for a while, but never really followed it until this season, which has been a disappointment, but you never give up on your team!

Pretty much the same thing as Broc said, except my favorite moment was when Ben found Wallace in the endzone against Green Bay in 2009 to win the game.

Living in Pittsburgh, I've been a Steeler fan my whole life...but I never really followed the NFL nor the team much. Not until the beginning of the 2009 season, where I finally started watching.

After playing Madden, and getting into fantasy football, I've gotten more and more knowledgeable to the NFL. I easily know all the teams and what conferences they are in, and I have a pretty sturdy idea of player names and their teams...which is pretty good for only watching football for two years.

2009 I was only watching Steeler games though, and some of them I missed. In 2010, I watched every game. Now this year not only do I feel I know a lot about the current Steelers, but also a lot about other teams.

Playing Madden, and playing with all the teams in a franchise, really helped me learn the players. Then like I said, having many fantasy football teams the last three seasons also helped me with names and teams.

Best is champions league 2005. So pissed off at half time that i was 10 minutes away from going bed - thank fuck I didn't.

As an Englishman and passionate about football the 5-1 win over Germany in Munich has to be one of the greatest moments in international football that i can remember! 5-1 5-1 5-fucking-1 over Germany in there own back yard! and Emile Heskey scored! says it all! the greatest English player of all time! ;-)

For me i am a Manchester United fan, i'm now 18 and been a fan for as long as i can remember.
The greatest emotion as a fan iv'e gone though has to be Champions league final in Moscow 2008 against Chelsea, epecially in the penalty shootout as John Terry stepped up to take his penalty... i thought it was all over, he missed it, and the rest as they say is History!
and the worst moment has to be a few weeks ago against Manchester City... we all know what happened there and lets not talk about it!

Edmonton Rush

Decided to support the Rush. Why?
- They play in white so they're like all my teams (excluding Man City but they play in Blue so they're okay since most of my teams are either White or Purple/Blue :)
- Never won anything either so the streak of none of my Northern America teams have won the big trophy is alive and well lol
- Underdog team which I like
- Chris Benoit was a big fan of them :)

I'm a cricket fan and I support the West Indies. I have supported them since I was a little boy I can't remember my exact age but I was very young. My father loves cricket and thats how I got hooked watching while he was taking in a game. He also played (not so much now) and anytime he would go he would carry me. I love this game. I'm also a very good cricketer, love to bat, bowl and field. I love all the versions of the game and also enjoy watching some of the greatest players from around the world. My worst moment - Currently WI are in bit of a losing streak for the past couple of years I hate when they lose any game so I am undecided. Best moments too much to name but I'll give you one example: Sri Lanka vs West indies in the Queen's Park Over in Trinidad I was unable to attend because they were sold out. Being sold out they decided to broadcast the match on the radio I listened Live. It was the last ball of the match Shiv Chanderpaul was batting (50 overs match) and WI needed 6 runs to win with C Vaas bowling the last delivery. For those who don't know Shiv is a small guy who doesn't usually hit sixes, he's slow and methodical and would hit fours with ease and style. Anyways low and behold Vaas bowls a full toss and Shiv smashes it for six I was so happy because Shiv is my favorite player. When I went home I watched the highlights I was ecstatic. Anyways that's alittle about the sport that I'm passionate about hope you enjoyed reading

*What was the worst moment with your team since you've been supporting them? - When they cut Johnny Unitas - 1955.

I still have to laugh every team I hear about that, cutting Unitas was actually pretty funny. But who knows what would have happened if Unitas wasn't cut, I probably wouldn't have been born...maybe the Steelers would have won more Superbowls, maybe they would have won less. We probably wouldn't be in the position that we're in now, and we could even have a little less of a franchise.

That's one of those big "What if" questions though, who knows where anyone would be if the Steelers kept Unitas. Maybe he would have got injured the next week in pre-season if we kept him? You never know what would have happened, but it's still quite a funny story.

Kansas City Command
Why: Not Jacksonville Sharks? Well they won a championship before I restarted watching this and they play in Red (Better dead than Red.) This is the sport that got me into NFL. I used to watch it on Eurosport (before NFL was in England). Really enjoyed it. I never chose a team so i'm now picking 1 to get ready for the upcoming season for when NFL finishes.
The reason i've picked them is they've never won a championship, play in Blue and from Missouri (Don't currently support a team from anywhere in the centre of the states)

I'm taking a big fuck off risk here. Mainly due to AFL teams have a small problem of dying and stop playing. So hoping this doesn't happen.

Now I just need to pick a Rugby Union and Super League team and all is well!

My teams are all over the shop:

Football/ Soccer: Manchester United
(I should have been either a Derby or Nottingham Forest fan, but I was given a United coat when I was younger and never looked back)
NHL: Philadelphia Flyers
(I chose them at random when I played my first NHL video game (around 1997?), and they've stuck with me)
MLB: Boston Red Sox
(When I worked in Maine one summer, I got to go to Fenway, and was inducted into Red Sox Nation)

Who do you support and in what sport?

1326Boston Celtics - NBA

How long have you been supporting them? (If you can remember)

Since 1956

What was the best moment with your team since you've been supporting them?

All their championship winning seasons: 1956/1957 season = 1st championship win; 1958/1959 season = 2nd championship win; 1959/1960 season = 3rd championship win; 1960/1961 = 4th championship win; 1961/1962 season = 5th championship win; 1962/1963 season = 6th championship win; 1963/1964 season = 7th championship win; 1964/1965 season = 8th championship win; 1965/1966 season = 9th championship win; 1967/1968 season = 10th championship win; 1968/1969 season = 11th championship win; 1973/1974 season = 12th championship win; 1975/1976 season = 13th championship win; 1980/1981 season = 14th championship win; 1983/1984 season = 15th championship win; 1985/1986 season = 16th championship win; 2007/2008 season = 17th championship win.

Game 5 of the 1976 NBA Finals, in which the Celtics fought off the resilient Suns in a triple-overtime affair on June 4, 1976.

What was the worst moment with your team since you've been supporting them?

1978/1979 season = last place finish with an overall record of 29-53
1998/1999 season = overall finish of 19-31 record
2006/2007 season = finish with a 24-58 record

London Broncos. (As long known as Harlequins for a few years)
Why?: Needed to pick a team for the upcoming season. I know my region of Yorkshire has 7 teams but I cannot stand Hull, Leeds or Bradford and the others didn't appeal to me. Came down to these guys and Catalan Dragons (Ironically the only southern based English team and the only French team). Plus these 2 have never been successful which is appealing to me as well but CD play in red and that's a no-no for me lol
I may support the Dragons as well but for now i'm happy to gamble with these guys. They have a badass kit now too.

Just Rugby Union now I believe.

I've been a Cardinals fan my entire life, mainly because my dad is a Cardinals fan. Ozzie Smith doing back-flips to shortstop amazed me when I was little.
Best moment: Winning the 2011 World Series :D

NBA: The Memphis Grizzlies
http://content.sportslogos.net/logos/6/231/full/793.gif

I've been a Grizzlies follower ever since they moved to Memphis in 2001. I started to be an active fan about 3 years ago when I was actually able to afford to go to games.
Best Moment: Winning our first playoff game and series last year before getting beat in the Second Round of the NBA Playoffs.

College: The Mississippi State Bulldogs

I've been an MSU fan my entire life and even more so since now it is my alma mater.

Best Moments:
Basketball: Beating eventual NCAA Champion Kentucky in the SEC Tournament and going all the way to the Final Four in 1996.
Football: Probably the 2000 Independence Bowl nicknamed "The Snow Bowl" where we beat Texas A&M 43-41 in OT.
Baseball: Our 8 trips to Omaha and holding the top 9 on-campus attendance records for college baseball at beautiful Dudy-Noble Field.

Yeah, us Marlins fans are few and far between. When I first came to Lafayette, I went to the Hat World store in the local mall to get a Marlins hat, and they didn't carry any. However, they carried all of the 29 other MLB teams.

Fermanagh GAA

Why: My girlfriend is Irish born. She likes this sport whilst I have no clue of the rules/scoring system. She asked me to pick a team (A part from London, who look a lot like London Irish in Rugby Union!) since I should support 1 team from Ireland or Northern Ireland. So I picked these guys. Although they play mainly in Green they also play in white which keeps with my theme of all my teams either play in Blue and/or White.

Plus it can't hurt to give it a shot next time I'm in Ireland. I enjoy new things so why not.

Lacrosse (MLL):

Ohio Machine

Why: Not to be mistaken with my NLL team the rush. This is played outside whilst NLL is inside and have a few different rules.

I chose these guys because they have turned professional this upcoming season. I have no team in Ohio and I'm hoping for some fun times with the outside version.

The /SP/artans FC

I doubt any of you will know this so here is the back story.

I'm an /SP/tard (You find a website that talks about every sports ever. I'm waiting...) and someone last year made a bi-annual cup on PES 12 to play football against every other boards.

From /B/ to /X/ nearly all of them are in it now. Basically you let your board based memes play for you. Pretty much all players are equal based so it's all about tactics really.

I honestly have to say it's 1 of the fucking hilarious things I've watched on the inter. To watch some of the overused memes drag certain board with what they're specialised in doing win matches for crappy boards is hilarious. Great banter too.

So why do I support /SP/artans?

Well, I'm linked with quite a few of the playing memes. (TORRES TORRES TORRES, MESSI MESSI MESSI, 18-1, DA BEARS, Long throws:20, Roberto Luongo, CENA WINS LOL, LEL, Tim Teboq, Vaughncouver and Costanza are all memes either relating to my teams or hilarious fails in sports I love.

Oh and Wavin' Flag by KNAAN is our anthem. Bitches love that song ;D

Honours:
> Implying
a 2nd and a 3rd in the first 2 tournament
> /K/s bitch

Best moment:

Beating /D/ (DON'T LOOK THEM UP! You'll regret it.) 4-3 yesterday cause Messi is a GAWD! Great start to the Summer cup. Bring on /B/

Worst moment:

/K/

Who do you support and in what sport?
Deutsche Bundesliga, Football (soccer, brrr), Borussia Dortmund

How long have you been supporting them? (If you can remember)
The first memory i have was when i was 4 years old, that was 1975

What was the best moment with your team since you've been supporting them?
Winning the european champions league against Juventus Turin in 1997, 3:1

What was the worst moment with your team since you've been supporting them?
Near Bankruptcy in 2004, they nearly had the team license revoked, just like recently the Glasgow Rangers. Luckily, they survived.

Besides that i do like most international football. I do prefer the northern european leagues over southern europe. Not too fond of the seria A in italy.

Some more info about my team for those people that dont know them: They are the current german chapions and cupwinners, on a good roll in the champions league.
The Fans are considered Germanys best, since every game draws 80.000 people, and the british Times voted their Stadium 'best in the world'. Mostly for the impressive 'yellow wall', home to 25.000 people STANDING on the 'Südtribüne' every home game, making it the biggest Grandstand in European football. Ok, enough bragging..
