Evening good people,

I posted a thread a little asking the question, when was the last time John Cena submit in a match?

Well now that was answered, I have a selection of other questions to ask the IWC . .

1) When was the last time Randy Orton submit in a match?
2) When was the last time Randy Orton won via submission?

and this question is an opinion question . .

3) Rumours on the internet are rife about the possibility of a Wade Barrett / Undertaker fued starting at Vengence and coming to a climax at Wrestlemania 28.

I would certainly value your opinions on the matter . .

Many Thanks,

G

interesting fact, doing a CTRL+F on Randy Orton's Wikipedia page and searching for "submission" brings up no results.

I don't have a good answer for 1 or 2, so I'll stick to 3.

Obviously there's history there (with Nexus helping Kane bury 'Taker) but unless Wade is gonna go over 'Taker at WM28 (which I'm 99% sure he isn't) I don't see the point TBH.

I just saw a video of Cena tapping out, I have never seen that before

as far as Orton, I believe that this is the last time he tapped out, so October of 2009

The cloverleaf, one of my all time favorite submissions

I would absolutely love if Barrett had a programme with Undertaker, that propelled him to the top! The rumours are that Taker is very high on Barrett!! Will it happen though? I'm not sure, I just have a feeling Taker will go up agsinst someone more established! It'll be interesting to see! We may get a better idea soon, if his Vengeance appearance happens!!

Exactly!

Just because a wrestler isnt a submission wrestler, per say, it doesnt mean they dont use them from time to time

Couldnt agree more mate!

I believe he is one of only three heels in WWE at the moment that can get heat just by talking with Cody Rhodes and Vickie Guerrero!

Now if he was able to work with Undertaker on his in-ring ability, he will be one of the most complete heels post Attitude Era

He does have massive potential! He's got the right look, he's great on the mic, he only needs some polish in the ring!! I really think he'll be one of the top stars, over the coming years!!

I like Barrett's chances in the WWE, he has a ton of potential, can move well, can speak well and has a good look
if he doesn't make the same mistake that Mcintyre did, he should go far

Wow. I never would have guessed you'd be a Barrett fan. ;)

Jokes aside, I have a question that relates to the one about Orton. Has Undertaker ever tapped out?

no
there was an angle once where Punk was claiming to have made Taker tap when he hadn't, but that is as close as he has come

Ha! I know, you never would have guessed :p

The only instance I can think of, with Taker was a match against Angle, Angle had him in the Hell's Gate, Taker tapped but it was literally milliseconds after Angle got counted 3, as his shoulders were on the mat for the move!!

Faces don't tend to tap out although that has changed a lot due to del rio, i don't like too many submission wins though as it severely damages the character in my eyes.
Talking about barrett it still annoys me why the leader of the biggest stable in years in wwe was wrote to tap out in 5 seconds against cena at summerslam last year

It would still be nice to see some of the faces tap out more often rather than being a fighter.
The one that annoyed me most was the "I Quit" Cena/Miz match, Cena has an entire match of beat down and does not quit, 5 seconds later the Miz is quitting and losing the belt. That was the pinnacle of WWE stupidity for me.

There hasn't been a match where orton has won by submission that i could find O.o. Seems odd for a wrestler not to even have a single submission victory but oh well
